He didn't notice the light until some time into the morning. When Arthur did, it was with a sense of annoyance that blanketed his wariness in a satisfying way.
It was like the light switch, no doubt, and he wanted no part of it. The simple answer was to smack it and kill the light, much like the 'Tee Vee' and the switch.
But it had started
talking. Certainly, Merlin had mentioned the talking machines before, had even made him speak to it until he realised it was ridiculous, but still, it was a box, and it was talking at him.
And speaking complete rubbish at that.
He smacked it again. It repeated the nonsense. So he yelled at it.
Little was he to know it was documenting
every stage of
