Room 303, Sunday Morning

Jan 18, 2009 09:52

He didn't notice the light until some time into the morning. When Arthur did, it was with a sense of annoyance that blanketed his wariness in a satisfying way.

It was like the light switch, no doubt, and he wanted no part of it. The simple answer was to smack it and kill the light, much like the 'Tee Vee' and the switch.

But it had started talking. Certainly, Merlin had mentioned the talking machines before, had even made him speak to it until he realised it was ridiculous, but still, it was a box, and it was talking at him.

And speaking complete rubbish at that.

He smacked it again. It repeated the nonsense. So he yelled at it.

Little was he to know it was documenting every stage of his reaction.

He had tired of this place already. Mother of God have mercy.
