Arthur did not awake to the feeling of having slept particularly well. His head wasn't pounding, which was a good sign, but his brain felt like it still wanted to seep out of his head into something nice and unconscious of the sweetest kind ( Read more... )

Gawain gave a long-suffering sigh, then rose up on his toes, and tried to restrain a bounce. "Run first? Or gymnastics?" Bounce. "There's a pool here, Mum said."

"We can go for a run in another hour," Arthur said, shoving his pillow over the back of his head. "Sit down and be quiet."

Gawain flopped back into his blankets, groaning in disgust. At least there weren't any other kids here right now. He glared over at Leto's bed. Even if he was still there.

He managed to be quiet for all of five minutes before he had to ask, "How'd you hurt your arm?"

Oh, the incessant questions. He'd missed those. Really.

"The castle was under siege by monsters, risen from the grave," Arthur told him. He was still trying not to think about this whole venture (and failing miserably). "One of them crushed my arm against the wall. It'll heal."

Leto has slept on the floor. His bed was currently occupied by two girls and a boy, all of which were apparently his children, and so he did feel some responsibility for them. Victoria did remind him a lot of Alice, Alexander (and he refused to call the boy Sandy!) did seem to take after his mother too, and Hunith.... he didn't know. He still couldn't figure out how he could have a daughter with Merlin. He didn't want to think about it.

As Gawain started talking, Leto sat up, throwing a look towards his bed.

"Come to join us in the land of the living, have you, Leto?" Arthur asked, peering past his equally blond son to examine the other brood for any signs of...

Getting up to irritate him. Or something. Hunith, especially, got a wary sort of glance.

Victoria stuck her head up from under the blanket, looking at her father's roommate. "He is alive. I didn't kill him." She said this sounding completely serious.

Hunith tried to hold back a giggle.

Leto smirked just a little, then pushed himself off the floor, stretching his arms. "Good morning to you too," he said to Arthur.

Now that he'd even managed to be properly dressed for the day before people arrived with children, Merlin was being dragged over to Arthur's room by Arawn.

"Slow down!"

Arawn's response to this? To go faster. Open the door without any sort of announcement of his presence.

"Father!"

"Knocking, Merlin--" Arthur started.

Oh, wait. "...Arawn."

"He's very fast," Merlin said, coming up behind the boy into the room.
