today i went to bed at 12 PM, and woke up at 2:30 PM to print out and hand in my last research paper of the year. not sure what time zone this coincides with... its probably pretty unique.
but yeah, i am soooooooooooo DONE (with papers... not finals) for the year! and this weekend, meaning tomorrow through sunday, is going to be insane. tomorrow its abby's birthday and charley's half birthday, not to mention the RSUS ball during which free food and drinks will apparently be provided, so that should make for an interesting night. and then ashika and chris arrive on friday early afternoon (read: late night... she's related to me, remember) and then we (hopefully) go to TREMBLANT saturday! spring skiing is honestly the only thing that makes this time of year bearable. oh, and then saturday night is the shotluck when jersey and debra attempt to cram the 100000 people they invited on facebook, more than half of whom are drunk engineers (redundant phrase?) into their little apartment.
oh, unrelated, but if anyone's interested in going with me to cornell on cinco de mayo and seeing BEN FOLDS (possibly) for slope day (cornell's last day of classes/huge party/concert thing) then let me know. it can only be one other person besides me though, my friend at cornell gets two guest tickets.
oh and one last thing. this is perhaps the best thing to happen so far this week. okay, apparently the economics department always has some sort of competition regarding MOLE, the online course evaluations... the professors all compete to see whose class gets the most evaluations in by a certain date, and whichever class does gets timbits on its last meeting of the semester.
so my professor for econ. dev. 2 kept sending out all these annoying emails begging both sections of his class to fill out MOLE. and of course i was like, fuck that shit, i havent been to that class since jan 12th. but then he sent out this in one of his emails yesterday:
Recall that the implications of losing to Ragan's class is an interfaculty transfer of resources from Arts students (the have nots) to the 500 management students (the haves, as their faculty recently have received a $20 million private grant) in ECON 295.
so yeah, needless to say i filled out the evaluation right away. i want to marry this man. and then the best part is, he sends out an email this morning saying that section 2 (the section im supposedly in) WON the timbits!!! it was probably my last minute evaluation that did the trick... i actually did something worthwhile!! and tomorrow, for the first time in 3 months, i am going to attempt to attend this class to eat donuts with the other have-nots.
