back to school...
its my sisters 28th birthday tomorrow! well technically today since its probably about 4 AM on the east coast right now. i'll be traveling from 9 AM to 9 PM though, and losing 3 hours, so there wont be much time to call her or anything. its always so disappointing flying east because you have to lose time. unless you cross the international date line, that is, because then you arrive at your destination a few hours earlier than the time that your flight departed (that is what flying from hong kong to san francisco is like) and its actually like you traveled back in time. except you dont get to repeat anything you did.
that was my intelligent statement of the day.
in other news... ugghhhh tomorrow i have to go back to cold, freezing, wet, slush, ice, black snow, salt-ruining-all-of-your-jeans CANADA. now after experiencing several days of 70 degree weather and wearing a tanktop each one of those days, this is a very difficult thing to do. especially when you didn't crack a book the entirety of reading week and have to take a midterm the day you get back to school, because certain professors have no soul.
so this has been kinda like a summer break, except for the fact that i watched the winter olympics every day. i also ate the equivalent of one steak every day of this vacation that i was here in san francisco. thats not to say that i actually ate a steak every day, but that i ate multiple pieces of steak on certain days and none on other days, and it averages out to about one per day. thats 7 medium rare steaks, each one red and drenched in blood, over 7 days. I also ate the caloric equivalent of 7 sticks of butter at every meal.
so yeah, now you know why i dont ever eat anything except melba toast when in montreal.
