My posts are infrequent. Today is a little different though, as someone I have never met has passed away. Usually anything of interest that passes through my mind I hash out with the loving audience that is my wife. This post however is a thought I don't think I could easily express to someone not in the "know" of it all . On April 1st 2007 Joe Murphy, a host or guest on several
podcasts that I enjoy, passed away. He was a regular on:
Kick Ass Mystick Ninjas,
Wingin' it,
The Dragon Page, and a host of other podcasts put out by the great guys at Draco Vista Studios. I am not going into any real explanation as to what podcasts are for those uninformed, but just think of them as radio shows and you will get the gist of this post. I felt like I knew this guy. I listened to his witty commentary, informed opinions and sometimes obnoxious comments on these "radio" shows that focus on sci-fi, fantasy and all things geeky, nightly at work 2-3 times a week. He was a presence, a friend there besides me at work making conversation on the things that I hold dear. These shows make my nights go by easier and the work I do pleasant. Joe, I never knew you and wish that I could have, but you were a friend none the less.
You will be missed.
