Ages ago, Niniel_1 tagged me with this: "...Once you have been tagged, you have to write a blog with 10 random things, facts, goals, or habits about yourself. At the end, choose 10 people to be tagged, listing their names & why you chose them. You can't tag a person who has tagged you."
Well,
1. The day my granddad died, me and my sister decided to spend the night with our granny at their home. We put our mattresses on the sitting room floor and went to bed.
My sister was already asleep, but I was still teetering on the edge, trying to fall asleep myself, when I began hearing footsteps coming down the corridor towards us. I opened my eyes and saw my granddad, who had stopped at our feet and was now turning to face us. He wore an eggshell white, Venetian style mask, with a long, aquiline nose, and was staring at us. I got scared and moved closer to my sister, covering my head with my blanket.
When I woke up, it was a bright and crisp winter’s morning.
- I saw him a second time a few months later, again with a mask, watching me sleep.
- Right now I’m hoping I don’t seem too disturbed… I’ll move on to a new subject.
- One of my absolute favourite foods in the whole world is carrot casserole (it’s made of thick, clumpy rice and mashed carrots, with just a little hint of nutmeg to make it really interesting).
- Last summer I climbed once more to this alder I used to sit on for hours on end as a child, reading books and observing my surroundings. I even used to eat my lunch up there, occasionally.
It’s a lovely tree, and I wanted to take a quick stroll down (or up) the memory lane by climbing up those familiar limbs, even though my own aren’t in as good a condition as they used to be. But neither was the tree so young anymore. Its bark was hardened and moss grew on it. It was no longer the shade of newly born leaves, but had turned greyish.
I sat up there for a while, observing my surroundings. Then I said goodbye to the tree.
- I love long showers, but try not to have them too often, because they’re so unecological. Water, in general, is definitely my element.
- Many people react to stress with either under- or overeating. I do neither. Instead, I count things, do sums in my head, solve puzzles and do other such things involving numeric (or other) details. It’s not exactly soothing, but helps me take my mind off the troubling issues.
- I like the numbers three and seven the best. I also find other prime numbers appealing. I prefer symmetrical forms and patterns to asymmetrical.
- I always liked school, but was too lazy to get good grades, although it would have been easy enough. I don’t regret this.
- I seldom pick wild flowers, because I don’t want to kill anything that pretty.
goes.
edit: I won't tag anyone, because both my LJ friends have already been tagged with this, and obviously, one of them tagged me, so...
