[she's so stunned she can't even speak. she just stares. and stares. and then she's moving because damnit, she's not letting him go alone, even if it means she never comes back, too]

[alarmed at the sight of her--he knows exactly what she's planning; he nearly did the same thing]

TARDIS! TARDIS, don't. Please, stop. He wouldn't want that!

[hisoldgirl]

[doesn't stop running, but at least appears to hear him] I must protect him. I cannot be without him, Oliver. He would not want me to be.

[oliverplus]

But he'll be back in less than a day! If you go too, you'll only be apart for longer.

[hisoldgirl]

Where is your proof? How can you know he will return to me?

[oliverplus]

[frowns] I don't have any proof. But we'll worry about that if he doesn't come back when he should, okay? Until then, we should wait. We don't want to miss him.

[hisoldgirl]

I have no intention of losing him. [she's still running, and it's obvious she's getting close to the place he disappeared, though she begins to slow down as she approaches] I will not allow this. He cannot leave me.

[oliverplus]

Wait for him. Please, TARDIS.

[hisoldgirl]

And if he does not return? Will you stay me then?

[oliverplus]

[frowns--he doesn't want to think about that possibility] We'll talk about that if it happens.

He'll come back. You know him!

[hisoldgirl]

[she reaches the hole and takes a seat on the ground in front of it, completely focused on the blackness]

[still frowning, but he'll take that answer if it keeps her from going] Then stay for now. Wait for him.

[hisoldgirl]

I will wait. [narrows her eyes at the darkness] He has twenty-three hours, forty-seven minutes and thirty-two seconds to return. After that, I will find him. I will protect him, Oliver. I cannot do otherwise.

[oliverplus]

[nods] I understand, TARDIS. [considers for a moment] I'll wait with you, if you'd like.

[hisoldgirl]

I do not care. You may if you desire.

[sits down next to her and, tentatively, reaches for her hand]
