She gave the mirror, she gave us the map

Today was my first day of the winter term. First of all, I need to point out that I have classes at 8 AM three days a week and 9 AM two days a week...so yes, that's pretty horrible. But it is really great to be sitting here, finished with class by 3 PM. There are pros and cons.

My stats class is already disappointing, but that was to be expected. My teacher is a Taiwanese grad student with an accent. And at first, I was like, that's cool. But after like 15 minutes, I realized that I couldn't understand like 50% of what she was saying..and that is going to make things hard..because I REALLY need communication and explanation when it comes to math. Hopefully I can read the book and be okay, because I HAVE taken stats already. I'm hoping this will reinforce what I have already learned and help me with whatever I missed in high school...And maybe my T.A. will be easier to understand.

My History 4C class (Western Civilization) seems pretty interesting. I do enjoy history, so I am looking forward to this one. The professor talks kind of funny..he audibly searches for words to use, so it is kind of confusing..That's okay though. We'll be reading many different books and studying modern European stuff, beginning with the French Revolution. He mentioned Robespierre and I thought "Reign of Terror" silently, and he began talking about it like a minute later, so I'm glad I still retained some of my AP Euro knowledge from two years ago.

My Spanish 22 class is going to be a challenge. I've missed Spanish so much in the past 6 months, so I'm really happy to be there. My teacher is decent. I understand her as long as I concentrate. The air system is really loud in that room so it is kind of hard to hear..But basically, I am happy and ready for that class.

I haven't had International Relations-Global Interdependence yet. I have my first class tomorrow morning at 9 AM. I'm pretty excited.

Bought a bunch of my books today and it was 220 dollars..and this is without 2 other major books...so it should add up to minimum 300 dollars. It makes me cringe when I think about it. And I haven't even sold my old books yet...Damn.

Well, I'm going to clean my room a little bit. We've made a collective resolution to be more organized, so I need to do my part.

love
Swathi
