stuff about helping Japan!
Okay, okay, so I know this isn't exactly related to the game or anything but I figured that we sometimes post un-game-related things at Bistro (or was that OOC? idk man) and I swear this will have SOMETHING to do with roleplaying eventually, but I'm rambling so!
As I'm sure you're all aware, a 9.0 earthquake hit Japan llllast week. What you may not be aware of is how easy it is to donate money! You actually don't even need a whole lotta time or money yourself!
At help_japan, they've set up posts where you can offer or bid on fanfic, fanart, audio work (podfics, fsts, etc), amvs, graphics... There's a post for "interesting stuff" where people are selling crafts, jewelry, care packages from their hometown, tutoring, resumé reading, fandomy stuff, etc! I think one person even offered to send six letters IC from any character of any canon.
Anyway, since we do posts sometimes where we link our threads, I propose this post to be a place we can post threads or posts (doesn't have to be from h_j) where we're offering... well, stuff!
I'll even try to keep a table of contents sob
If you don't know what charity you want to give to, here is a list of good ones, which is from japan_calls, a comm where they're auctioning off 15 seconds of personalized message from a number of celebrities.
