He's enthusiastic! And not shallow, though it took her a bit to recognize how he operates on levels. Wanting to poke at the people who are inherent grumps, prying into people's lives and trying to figure out what they mean when they say things (hahasdf our ongoing shenanigans at the New Year Celebration being one that comes to mind) is part of how he operates, and while it can be annoying at times, she's more amused to see his interactions with other people than bothered by when he uses similar things on her.

That he cares deeply for friends and family strikes a note of accord; Sakura's focus has primarily been friends and mentors, her chosen family rather than birth family, but in this series (and her eyes) failing to recognize blood family importance would be a joke. She likes Shu, she thinks he is a good singer, if music is still an ongoing revelation for sheer variety and whathaveyou. He means well, and he acts on things rather than just talks about them. While he might be more energy than she necessarily wants to handle on a daily basis, he's a positive presence in her life that she appreciates and is fond of.
