1. Babby Ran
Childhood. Notice the smaller number of tails. Technically she should be more mature at that many tails, but I couldn't help myself. This image is just too funny (and typical of young children). There is a LOT of fanart of young Ran out there, and interpretations can vary wildly.

2. One night...
Typical origin story for Ran. Yukari comes across her as an injured (or raped) yako kitsune and takes her in. Just like with her childhood, interpretations of how she and Yukari met vary by a wide margin. Hell, this contradicts the picture I posted above it, given she appears older here.
