Gwendolen is currently one of the people Matthew has placed in the 'interesting' category. His opinion of her is generally positive, but that's just his sunny attitude really. He'd like to get to know her better, and possibly investigate this whole 'why does he look so much like her brother' thing.

Midii is, weirdly enough, probably the most normal relationship Matthew has. It's almost perfectly average in every way-he's not overly fond of her, but equally she doesn't fit into the category of people he'd be happy to completely ignore for all time. She's just basically a kid he has some things in common with and (a lot) of things they don't, so it's kind of fun to talk to her.

It helps that he's endlessly told to interact with people his own age more and she's about the only one his own age he doesn't think is ridiculously dull.

Things they have in common: (+) are 10-years-old (+) don't act like they are 10-years-old (+) are blonde

....yeah, that's about it. :-P

These two are surprisingly fun to throw together. They're sort of friends, but not really. Casual acquaintances, maybe? Somebody to talk to now and again without feeling patronized or like they're speaking to somebody below their intelligence/maturity level.

Terezi has found her way into Matthew's black little heart pretty easily. Her attitude and way of doing things really appeals to him, and in a lot of ways he admires her, for both what she's capable of and how she does it.
It helps that she's not human, and very not human, both in appearance and mannerisms. That way if he doesn't understand her feelings on a matter, he has an excuse beyond being a broken little mess of a person.

The only thing that keeps him wary of her is her belief in justice. Matthew doesn't understand justice at all beyond the mechanics of it and as he's aware he's basically an enemy of justice just by existing, so he's kind of caught between showing some of his real tendencies, the ones she finds cool, and holding back just enough to stop her realising just how bad he is and rejecting him completely. He probably doesn't think the whole kidnapping thing was as big a deal as she does...Mostly because he doesn't remember it.

Hah yeah, justice is a pretty big deal for Terezi and he's already on thin ice with the kidnap thing although she can figure pretty easily that it's quite a way in the future in his timeline and so there's still time, assuming the alpha timeline isn't a huge douche again.
