Food post

Title is self-explanatory so don't blame me if you are hungry after. Most of them are my grandmother's cooking.
I ate up a storm back home, was practically having four meals everyday, was snacking non-stop too.

I cannot live without Green Tea Frappucino. I hit Starbucks almost immediately after arriving in Singapore. Have to get that craving fix.
I heard it is only available in Singapore and the States. What about Japan?

At Crystal Jade Kitchen in Takashimaya with Ade.
Wanton noodle and calamari. We were happily drinking soya bean milk (another drink I cannot live without).

So yummy.

Deep friend chicken in prawn paste (虾酱鸡). Was surprised that it came like that since they debone the chicken most of the time.

My daily breakfast in Singapore. Very simple, bread and butter with a cup of Milo.

My daily lunch in Singapore. Porridge. And fish for that day. Topped with fried shallots. Divine.

Reunion dinner steamboat!

Some rolls made by my god-mother. It's a yearly ritual, she will make this for our reunion dinner. My favourite!

Fa Cai (发菜) dish. The black, hairy-looking vege is 发菜. Eat it during CNY for good luck and wealth.

Abalone

Looks not bad! Delicious!

Fried shallots. I can eat this with everything and anything!

My fish from the steamboat

Chicken from steamboat

CNY snacks selling at a night market near 四马路 temple

I was happily choosing what I want to eat. Hehe! My brother looks miserable in the picture.

I don't know what is the English word for this

Pumpkins!

Don't know the English word either

The famous CNY dinner at home!

Chicken in black soy sauce and ginger bits

Mixed veg soup

Prawn in chilli paste

Cold duck meat

Mixed veg with 发菜

Happily tucking into the food. My brother still looks miserable. Don't know why.

Food brings happiness!

Another favourite of mine. Long John Silver's fast food restaurant. That's combo meal 3, fish and chicken with chips.

Local dessert. Longan and almond tofu (curd?)

Met up with Ting and YL when they were back in Singapore and headed to Vila'ge (the then Mövenpick Marché) for our favourite food.
The restaurant makes everything right in front of your eyes after your order. Fresh from oven!
For years we have been ordering the same food whenever we are there.

Ham and cheese crepes

Potato rosti, their signature dish

Mushroom soup with bread crumbs (?)

That's another dinner I had. I love garlic fried fish and soggy cabbage! Everything in there are my favourite! Hee!

Dinner on my last night in Singapore

Cabbage fried egg

Vege

Fried tau pok (dried beancurd I think)

Chicken with mushroom

Steam fish with musroom and ginger

Corn soup

I had lots more food. Lo hei, thai curry, hawker centre local delicacies... I was too excited then to take pictures. Only realised that when my tummy was filled. :P

Guess what? I lost 1kg while back home. Must be all the healthy food, thanks to my grandmother.
Believe me, I really did lost 1kg.

Darn, now I'm hungry.
