Of kisslocks and granny purses
Out of the blue, I really want a kisslock purse. I had a very functional faux snake-skin version from Primark (it cost me only £1.50) but it went to the crematorium with my grandmother because she liked it when I brought it back. And since, on and off, I will miss the purse. It had a nice diamonte kisslock and I could stuff any rubbish into it (even my dinosaur phone) and still keep the shape. I realised I miss it terribly. Hence, I decided to launch a search for The Perfect Purse.
I had some pre-requisites in mind and spent weeks prowling Etsy and various craft shops online. After seeing more and more samples and examples, I figured I am asking a lot for a simple kisslock purse. From some "simple" pre-requires like, compartments to being able to hold my mobile, to more complex "issues" like, nice interior lining, card compartments, double kisslock frames, et al. So, as I was about to spend about $70 to custom make one from Esty, I found IT.

The moment was like a wet-dream came true for someone with a granny purse fetish. Or, at least, for me. It has all I wanted in a purse:
Becksondergaard is a Danish accessory brand. They have lovely scarves, purses, and handbags in a wonderful variety of colours in simple Scandinavian style. Their eel skin accessories have been their classic collection for years.

And thank goodness I decided to pop into Takashimaya after my course, and before my ballet class at Dhoby Ghaut. I don't know. I thought I could try my luck at Taka and I did became lucky!

- Card compartments - check
- Fits my mobile and all cards and rubbish - check
- Polka-dot lining - (AWWW!!!) Check!
- Eel skin - check! This is rather eco-friendly. Eel skin is a by-product of the food industry. They are not harmed just for their skin. I'm not sure how to describe the leather but it is very, very soft and feels thin but apparenly, it is way hardier than cow hide. Well, only time can tell.
- It comes in such array of colours that I think I'm going to end up with more than 5 of them.
