So, it's my first day at work after Chinese New Year and I made a BIG fall at the pantry after lunch. I think it is the combination of the slippery floor and slipperly soles of my wedges and I did a major (make it MEGA - like those you see in cartoons!) wobble before falling flat on my side. My left hip and right knee hurt like f*ck now. What a start at work in the new year! So, as I lie on my side whimpering in pain, colleagues at the other end of the pantry was shell-shocked and can only uttered words like "are.you.okay?" In numbing pain, pulled myself up, told everyone I am a-okay before going into the toilet. In fact, I was pretty glad I didn't fall in the toilet, I would have cried I think.

We had a very long weekend here in Singapore for Chinese New Year. Got off work last Wednesday in the afternoon and did absolutely nothing other than "tidying up" some mess in my room, walked and bathed Kitty so she looks and smells clean for the new year. Watched some TV, played Bejewelled on Facebook and went to bed at almost 1am. I am the kind who believes in staying up after midnight during CNY eve; for my parents' longevity. The first day of CNY was the usual running around to 拜年, paying our respects to the elders. Spent the entire day running around; 舅舅's house,  顺叔's new house to look-see, 大伯's house, and finally 二姨's house. And I thought I could actually stay home for the rest of the 3 days but ended up going to all my other 姑姑s' homes for meals. The days weren't tiring since I don't talk to anyone, I only sat and watch the TV or eat. Oh, and I do eat a lot, I am totally stuffed. I am still feeling stuffed for we had a welcome (new colleague) pizze party for lunch and I wolfed down 3 slices of pizza and 3 servings of cinnamon bread. Yum yum. So... there goes the time for catching up on my reading.

Well, reading. Hmmm... The made-in-China-piece-of-crap aka JE200 "died" a week before CNY. Made me lost 2 whole days of reading while trying to fix that stupid junk of a machine and when I have decided to order my Kindle this week with my ang bao money, the junk came back to life! Which is not a bad thing considering I paid more than what a Kindle is worth (now) for this piece of junk, it better last through it's cost-per-use. So it's back to how it used to function (double crossing fingers) and I can go back to reading Thousand Autumns once I'm finished with Mister God, This is Anna, my second paper book this year. I have a decent list of TBR this year and I don't think I want to do the series challenge now. I don't feel the push and motivation yet.

I am still dancing my ballet, and is going into my 14th month, and is around RAD 3-5 level. I signed up for Latin class, starting in 2 weeks, and I don't know why I signed up but I thought it would be pretty fun to learn a dead language. It might even be a small little leeway to get into bookselling or cataloguing. Or... just makes me sound a bit smarter than I look. :)

Lastly, I watched Grand Expectations on Saturday evening. I liked the scripting (come on it's Sylvia Chang!!!) and is kind of bizarre but it has really funny moments and moments which made me think a bit about love and life. Angelica Lee is gorgeous as usual and the casts' wardrobe is sponsored by Agnes b! Very pretty! Sylvia Chang was in the audience and she went up stage to thank the audience. The show on Sunday had Gigi Leung, Vivian Hsu and Charlie Yeung in the audience. I'm so looking forward to Kit Chan next week. I haven't been to a decent concert for years.

On shucks! I just realised I didn't zip up my pants! F*********************K!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
