Ed's MSN used to say "remember the foot you step on today may be the ass you have to kiss some day". Couldn't agree more with it. Not that it is happening to me now. I wouldn't want something like that to happen to me. I am too chicken to piss anyone off. Yes, I bitched, I cursed at people. I am the real hypocrite. I do it behind their backs. I don't believe in making enemies because people that you know can be useful to you at some point in life. Best is to keep a neutral relationship with them. I need work references now which are vitally important to me. So I have to go back to all my ex-colleagues to ask for testimonials and certificate of employment. If they can add some sugar and spice and all things nice, all the better. Thank goodness I only have 3 jobs in my life so far, and I feel old already. How sad.
Looking at the responses we get, seems like I am probably going back to Singapore very soon. Which makes Ed's statement even more meaningful since I may consider going back to my previous jobs to see if there are any suitable vacancies for me. I had some bitchy conversation with an ex-colleague yesterday about a common enemy asking for any suitable vacancy and HR told her no. We both were saying even if there is a cleaner job, the company wouldn't want her back. Tell me about being nice. Haha! More in private post later.
