An...update? Holy crap!
Yes that's right folks, it's time for my bi-annual blog update. The main reason for the blog update is just to let everyone know that I will be back in Oz as of the 14th. Just a heads up so that you guys have a little time to prepare parties, presents, sacrifices in my honour etc.
I have also uploaded some pictures to flickr. The photos are from christmas in Scotland.
So yeah, other than that, things are fine. Still looking for a new place to live. We've been staying at Will and Heidi's place whilst they've been in Oz. The day they get back, we leave. It's kind of like a tag team thing, so that Australia doesnt have time to recover from the first onslaught.
It's been a complete nightmare finding a flat actually. The property market is very much in favour of landlords at the moment, basically they can get away with anything, and charge anything they want because people (like us) are desperate for housing. Arse. Also, there isn't much protection for tennants here, there is no ombudsman or anything. Basically there is the small claims court and that's about it. So anyway, yeah, anyone coming over here, be very careful when renting, read your contracts properly!
Anyways, I'll see you guys soon! We leave on the morrow. 'On the morrow' isnt used enough these days is it? That's it, I'm bringing it back.
