I really like California I was born and raised here. I don't feel like the stereotype fun and sun moron of California. Maybe because I was raised in a liquor store with all walks of life and raised old school I guess. Anyway.
In the last 2 weeks I have gotten tax return requests for the years 2001 and 2002 for my grandmother from the State Franchise Tax Board.
It's like chee where broke lets hunt lil old ladies for money. The Fed (IRS) has never asked.
So generally understanding her income was limited all those times and she has had a mortgage interest reduction she never apparently used as a deduction. I am gonna FUCK the State Franchise Tax Board like they imply to try and screw her.
I have been wanting to do it for awhile but many things have taken precedence. So planning once again to sitdown with an old family accountant of ours and plan it out.
Depends on the years that can be gone back (apparently she hadn't been filing for sometime)
This is a very liberal guestimate on my part of what she may be looking at from State and while I'm at it Federal too.
She should be getting refunds all this time if she filled.
1) If I can go back 4 years to 2001 or all the way back 7 years to 1998 for filing
2) She is looking based on my guestamate at like $2,000-3,000 a year she may be owed in refunds regardless of late file penalties.
So based on guestimate anywhere from $8,000-21,000 in taxes are owed to HER in refunds. So we shall see.
