get this alien off my chest

been suffering from this illness since last Thursday and now that I'm back in Cali, it's just STARTING go get a lil better.
I think I could have recovered more quickly earlier this week, like say...Monday,
but then I hopped on a train to Versailles to see the other kids from my office,
and then afterwards I came to Paris for dinner with finance kids,
and kinda mini-made out with someone before I hopped into the taxi at 3am
and now I'm paying for it, my voice still completely gone

spent my last full day with Kate and Josephine, the two people I felt most comfortable around. just a peaceful, lovely day, spent with nice people and the best falafel in the world, watching children play in a sandbox at a park. you just know the boy that poured sand on that lil girl with pigtails is going to grow up to be a psychopath.

packed, cleaned, did NOT miss the shuttle this year, and paid extra for over-weight luggage. can't blame me for having 9 months worth of goods.

would have cried upon take-off but being deathly ill was so distracting, I just kinda closed my eyes and let my head spin from the 4 hours of sleep I've had in 2 days. and then the girl next to me struck up conversation and we ended up having a good-ol time smiling and laughing, talking about discovering ourselves through living alone, about facing and overcoming fears, about breaking away from the person you thought you were, etc. So when we safely arrived at LAX, after 12 hours of babies crying as we were trying to carry on a conversation in Franglish, we exchanged coordinates, waved goodbye, and then I waited forever at the carousel for luggage claim.

and then...hung out with kah, went to Lacy Park, and came home, ate, and slept.

upon waking up in bed the following morning, it felt like everything that went down during the past 9 months was just a dream sequence.

I don't feel transformed but I do feel more...in my skin, if that were a feeling.
