Okay, so apparently the Zodiac signs have changed, and I am glad to report that nothing is out of the ordinary except that my two zodiac books are now pretty much obsolete. I mean, I missed the Ophiuchus cut off date by two days (end December 17, and my birthday is December 19th), so at least that part of my life is still intact. But, according to my sourse (which also says that Sagittarius begins on December 17th... but shouldn't it be the 18th?), the Babylonians abandoned it to have 12 zodiac signs, not 13. Well, who are we to judge that? I mean, the Babylonians were pretty freakin' smart: cuneiform, laws, the wheel (most likely)... if they thought it was a good idea to drop a zodiac sign, good chance is that it is.
But now I'm rethinking my own zodiac sign. I mean, I don't think your birthdate influences your personality, but I think that it's a fun little thing to play around with. I also think that if you think it influences your personality, it will.
Anyway, it will be interesting to see what comes of this. I love studying religious/ spiritual beliefs of people, my own or not, so I want to know how this all plays out in the end.
