OK the Story………………..
I couldn’t sleep Thursday night I went to work and then flew to IL
Horrible flight through that storm on Thursday
I met your parents and we headed to the hotel and got dinner I chickened out on asking them at our first meeting…..but they were pleasant and we talked and had a nice evening together……
That night I checked in to the nearest hotel to base I could find it was a flea bag hotel no way around it but there weren’t any other choices.
Friday morning we went to the graduation we had a 3 hour wait in the stands before the recruits came out while sitting there with her parents. They were talking about some gifts they got her I told them I had brought some gifts for her myself and handed the ring to her mom……. Who did this weird panting thing and tears formed in her eyes… The dad just got a smile….
Her mom had asked me not to do it Friday to wait and let Friday be her day……
So after the ceremony we spent the day trying to get away from her parents it wasn’t easy but we got a few hours alone… oh and what a few hours………
Saturday by this time I can’t sleep or eat and Cat has noticed I’m acting a little off……We went to the aquarium and spent the morning in Chicago had a deep dish that I hardly ate…… and then headed bake towards our rooms…. We got back to my crappy room and well now I haven’t sleep in 2 days and hardly have eaten and I was losing my mind
On the table in my room was a little gold box all wrapped nice and Cat had asked about a few times and I told her she could open it later…. So when we got back I told her to go ahead and open it… She refused at first saying she wasn’t ready,,,,,,,
I just looked at her and said your not ready to open a box?
She opened it and found a porcelain egg and a penny inside…. She looked at it confused and I was kneeling by her… She is like what is this all I’m worth?
I told her what were you expecting this (and held up the ring) She screamed HOLY $HIT and buried her head in my shoulder I guess she said she was whispering yes into my neck but I didn’t hear her…….She finally regained composer and agreed to marry me….Well the rest of the story kind of goes towards practicing to create a family it doesn’t belong on this bored
