French dressing on the side
My birthday was Tuesday. It ended well with my sister phoning me. Her children then serenaded me with a song saying “I want to grow old with you.” They sounded like angels and made me feel that the rest of my year would be good.
Last night I went to see the new Star Trek movie with a bunch of the local fans. I won’t spoil it for anyone but I enjoyed it. What I didn’t so much enjoy was the way the “leader” of Trek fandom in Atlanta treated us. There has to be a better Trek fandom in Atlanta. There has to be. One for adults and by adults but with zaniness and French dressing on the side.
If there isn’t, I may just have to invent it.
