House, HIMYM, and Castle too!

Woo! The Monday night madness and the Tuesday morning aftermath... Let's see how this went...
**MAJOR SPOILERS FOR ALL AFOREMENTIONED SHOWS**

House:
I'll tell the truth, I barely paid any attention at all to this ep aside from the B story (House and Wilson and the understatement of their lives).
I did know what the A story was about, somewhat. A Drug dealing PotW who wasn't really a drug-dealer but an undercover cop who had an awesome partner BFF that he totally used and sold out. How mean. But of course PotW had spent 16 months away from his wife because of the undercover thing and like...died anyway, so yeah. Still though, BFF was willing to do whatever he could for his fake buddy and he had a 6-year-old kid... Oh life and its moral gray areas...
There was also a C story...for no reason at all. Pretty much it was Foreman finding one of 13's paycheck stubs and seeing that she makes more money than he does then Taub accidentally revealing he makes the same amount as her. Then Foreman starts going insane and 5-year-olds in front of Cuddy who had a weird way of phasing how the business works (there has to be leverage...or something. Doesn't really seem like the thing to say to an employee) and yeah... It was pretty out there.
Then later we find out that 13/Taub/Chase were playing a prank on Foreman (Why? Either I missed it or there wasn't a reason at all/it was a very stupid reason) and they had to come clean because Foreman demanded a raise and bluffed with a job that he did not have. They then offered to fund Foreman's raise from their own checks only to find out after the deal was done that Foreman had been bluffing about his bluff the whole time. I think this was done just to bring Cuddy in the episode, seriously. (If you're going to do that at least give her more of a role in the C plot).
Now then... the B story of fun and 'the only reason 75% of the fans watched this episode'
Wilson tried to show off his 'ladies-man' chops (which I don't think we've actually seen on screen in like forever) with his neighbor, only to have her reveal that everyone in the building thought he and House were totally gay. Wilson of course didn't realize it until that moment and spazzed to House (you'd think he'd learn by now...). House, in turn, sees this as an awesome prank and fun time so he plays up the gayness. (lol giant 'The Chorus Line' poster)
Wilson was still not amused and continued to deny the accusations and then goes off in full detail on how he and House weren't gay. Oh Wilson...
The episode gets even more awesomer and lulz-tastic when Wilson begins playing it up as well. Announcing his LOVE for HOUSE out loud in a restaurant and proposing. (Are we sure this wasn't the A story now?)
At the end of the ep, both boys struck out with the girl (after "coming clean") and were stuck in their new place with their packed up belongings and various props House ordered for the whole charade. Wilson hated the chairs, but House loved them. House wanted to get rid of The Chorus Line poster, but Wilson was rather fond of it. Ergo Wilson told House he was going to sing until he got rid of the chairs and House didn't believe. THEN RSL BEGAN SINGING FROM THE CHORUS LINE AND IT WAS TOTALLY AWESOME.
And this episode, ladies and gentlemen, is why I will be buying House season 6 on DVD.

Random things about/stemming from this episode:

CHASE. CHASE. WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR HAIR?! IT'S...LIKE...TRAGIC.
It's like he was going for the little boy look with scruffy House scruff. IT WAS WEIRD.
Also, it was like all my obscure guilty-pleasure ships were all banding together in this ep! Chase/13 (who totally got caught for running a red light, HAHA), Foreman/Cuddy (Oh season 2, how I miss you...). Totally awesome.

Oh yeah, and is anyone going to be in NYC in February/March? Because Michael Weston (Lucas) and James Roday (Shawn from Psych) are doing an off-broadway show AND I TOTALLY WANT TO GO SEE IT. OR AT LEAST FIND A BOOTLEG RECORDING OF IT. PLEASE EXIST SOMEDAY. PLEASE.

How I Met Your Mother:
A fun episode overall. The fact that I was looking forward to watching it all throughout House and Castle and only got to see bits and pieces whenever House went to commercial break probably whetted my appetite for it a great deal.
We finally got a great canon load of things about the infamous Mother and contributing plots from everyone else, and we got a musical number and Tim Gunn meta.
I did enjoy this ep (certainly better than House's 100th milestone) and I totally called that Barney was going to nail the bartender anyway. Heh.
The suit ER thing was kinda corny, but I liked it anyway. The Marshall/Lily/Robin C plot was kinda overshadowed in comparison to Ted and Barney's own stories, but I still liked it anyway.
Besides, in comparison to the other eps this season, this one stood well above the rest of them. It was a good HIMYM ep to start the year, and new decade with. :)
I especially loved everyone's else little role in the big musical number, so much fun.
The only thing is, I think I took wrong idea from Barney's entire lament. Now I want to see something super angsty probably lol of Barney having to chose his friends over his suits. Shame on me. Oh well.

Castle:
YES.
Yeah.
Um...
Can you guys keep a secret? I think I'm totally just watching this show now to squee over Nathan Fillion. Oh? Not much of a secret there? Cool.
lol I did really enjoy this episode though. A deep old flame from Castle's past returning and sparking a fire again. Plus the fact that Beckett wasn't doing the typical denial!jealous act, but rather doing a more Ouran!Haruhi (to uncurious and uncaring to realize) type deal. What I enjoy about Castle/Beckett is that its so painfully obvious they're going to be 'the' canon couple of the show but their path isn't so set in stone. Castle has a lot of baggage and reputation when in comes to romance and Beckett isn't much of a romantic, love-seeking (or falling for that matter) type. There's quite a road ahead of them, that's for sure.
The overall wedding-murder plot and motive was interesting, not cliche but more casual, making it more real. Plus, we also got to see another side of Castle, his angry, clouded-judgment side which was really cool. What Nathan Fillion brings to the characters he plays (or its just that he tends to play these types of characters) is that it takes a lot of effort to push them over the edge. We got to see Castle's this ep and we got to see him truly in love, two facets of his heart previously closed to us the audience.
Plus the promo for next week, YES. YES. OH MAN YES. THERE'S GOING TO BE SO MUCH DRAMANGST NEXT WEEK. And hopefully lots of Beckett-growth and maybe some Beckett/Castle! :o

Final note: Wow, I ramble a lot. lol I love how House was the episode I wasn't really looking forward to and didn't enjoy the most in comparison to the other 2, yet it was the one I had the most to say for. I guess House really is still my main fandom. Yay.
