I have an english paper due in less than 24-hours. Since I'm starting over on it, I have absolutely nothing done. No written copy...Nothing. And what am I doing now? I'm updating my journal.... I have a feeling its going to be a loooooong night.....
Anyway for current events:
I went to Washington for the first time last Friday. That was fun! Especially the part about skipping school....hahaha, everyone needs a vacation once-in-a-while right? Even though I had the friday before that off, and tomorrow is a half-day which leads to thanksgiving break... Oh well, no one can have too much vacation...
More on Washington: We all went to the Smithsonian (or however its spelled) of American History. Yay for the new cell phone with picture taking capabilities!!!
Unfortunately most of the museum was underground, which meant bad connection, which I couldn't send the pictures to myself and space I had was the ONLY space I had... So I was limited to only 26 pictures... ToT
Also on the day we went parking was TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Some elementaries were having a field trip! Of all days to have a field trip!!!!! Also most of us (ok, maybe just me, but I'm not so sure...>.>) were, like, super hyper that day. Maybe it was because we were missing school, or that it was our first time in Washington, or both, I don't know... But everytime we did something normal we got excited. "We're going up Washington steps!!!" "We're taking pictures in Washington!!" "I'm walking on Washington soil!!!" "We're going down Washington steps!!!!!" ....yeah....
Anyway, the smithsonian was really cool. We saw all kinds of old/new/advanced/famous musical instruments (I nearly screamed when I saw the shiny japanese piano, it was soooooo cool!), and we saw some old memoirs of old american shows. We also saw an exhibit showing how hard chores used to be. Man, ladies in the past we're strong!!! Later when we went down, we found the scientific part of history. Mostly, what I can remember is the atomic bomb, DNA, some generators. I also remember they had one of the old pac-man machines! Ah... the good old days... haha. They also had one of those chess-computers that are, like, impossible to beat, why people what to invent something impossible to beat in something like chess is beyond me... Later we found a gift-shop and I bought a Sakura-tree growing kit!! Yay me!!! Now I have to wait until spring to plant it, only thing that scares me most is if I mess up and I can't buy another one. After the science part of history, we ventured into the lives of the presidents. We saw a timeline of the first ladies' dresses, the way the old white house looked, etc., etc. Then after that we left and headed for our "hotel". We were to stay at Comfort Inn, but when we got there it was the wrong Comfort Inn!!! So we had to drive 20 minutes to find our Comfort Inn. See, I've went to SACS two years, so I know what staying in a hotel is like. This place wasn't very good compared to the other places I've stayed at, but someone pointed out to me that this was an Inn not a hotel, and it was free, so I won't complain. After settling in at the inn (haha lame joke!!....ok that was really dumb, shutting-up now), we headed for our youth congress meeting. Since we left from a place we hadn't originally anticipated we were really late and we also got lost making us even more late. On the way there we were all starving! We were promised dinner there so we haven't eaten anything since lunch, (it was around 5 at that time, last time we ate was around 11, yea, like 6 hours ago). Unfortunately you put a bunch of starving girls together and we were all grouchy!!! (sorta, we probably could be considered grouchy if we didn't laugh everything we did something "mean"), also I had a big rant on pizza. We were hoping for an actual dinner, like with a main course, side dish, etc., and everytime we go to a youth-thing they always serve pizza, and at that time I was really tired of ordered-out pizza. Oh well, since they promised dinner I actually expected a real dinner...yea, knowing my luck when we got there guess what we had? PIZZA!!!!!!!!!!! *sigh* Not like it mattered anyway, as soon as we got our pizza it was time to leave... For the actually congress, I thought it was really good, a lot of good strong preaching just for a Christian young person to think about, great stuff... Later when we got back to the Inn (after getting chicken, good chicken!! ^-^) it was around 11, everyone stayed up until 1, and we all got up at 5:30 am. Needless-to-say I was dead tired. I managed to get some breakfast down, and I even saw a waffle iron!! Didn't know those still existed! After I finished breakfast, thats when everyone else started coming down and I retreated to the lobby, and fell asleep! (see I really was dead tired). Later in the frigid cold of the Washington morning, all of us and our half-asleep-selves headed back to the youth congress where we spent the rest of that morning. We eventually left around 12, and headed for Potomac Mills, home of THE mall. On the way there we saw that gas was only 1.99!! Around lunchtime we arrived at the mall place, man, is it HUGE!!!!! We all split up promising to meet back at 1:45. so off I was to my washington mall adventure. After doing some DDR I walked around, there was a TON of people there! My mall may not be the best (its safe to say most hate my mall), but at least it isn't crowded!! Anyway I ended up spending all my money on a silk chinese dress, TOT... but the thing is...it fit!!! THAT'S something that's hard to find (for me at least). Luckly I had just about enough for a sandwich at Arby's and a bottled drink. After a few more hours of road fun, we left at 2, and we made it back by 6. Somewhere in that time-frame I ate my lunch, took a nap, took pictures of my friends taking a nap, played with my cell phone, talked on my cell phone, stopped at a rest stop, got chips and snickerdoodles, and basically do what I always do... talk a lot. And thats basically it for my Washington adventure.
Also, earlier, that week, my mom took me to the Cheesecake factory!!! Yes, it was also my first time there too, this was a week of firsts! First re-take, first report-card (of the year), first trip to the cheesecake factory, first trip to washington, first voluntary missed day of school, first homemade pizza... Anyway, my mom had promised to take me to the Cheesecake factory a while ago, and since I got good grades she finally took me! I gotta get more good grades.... Cheesecake used to be my favorite food... NOW IT IS AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CHEESECAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Haha, when I left there I was so wired....cheesecake.....
So anyway, that's it for this update... Oh yeah... for some current bad news.... I'M GETTING WORSE AT DDR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TOT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lately I've been getting wayyyyyyyy more tired when DDR-ing, I only did 2 standard songs and I was already tired!!!!!!!!!!! This is really, REALLY bad, I really need to train....
Hopefully this will be fixed next update, bye for now!
