If my childhood were a video game strategy guide...

It would totally be the Gamefans's Super Mario 64 strategy guide. Do you guys remember that game? That and Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time were like... the sole essence of my childhood days...
I remember waiting until the weekend so I could play Mario on my cousin's AWESOMELY COOL N64 and watch and idolize them as they played Zelda. I was inspired to finish my second grade homework early so I could play; at the very least, video games were a comfort during my mom's battle with cancer. I was a rather stupid 7-year-old seeing as I didn't think cancer was anymore a serious disease than chicken pox... *sigh* I never want to overlook those times, and I never want to take for granted my mom's remission. Things were so simple in childhood when all it took was a simple 64-bit video game to keep me happy...
It's the little things that get me...

Anyway, trip down memory lane picked up a sovenier today, I found that strategy guide in a game store today; in *mint* condition! :D
It cost 7 bucks though. Why it costs that much is a mystery, seriously, this game isn't hard enough to earn a full guide; and they re-released it on the DS...
Probably the nostalgia factor; doesn't matter...I got it first ;)

Also, I got some Furuba manga today...

I got volumes 2 and 6, they were the only ones the store had and were only 1.99 each; lucky! ^^
Re-Reading volume 2 was fun, I love Hatori's tragic past love story and Yuki-Tohru flirting. How he didn't get her in the end and how his affection was cast as 'mother-seeking' just blows my mind. After all that flirting, if THAT'S how he *wants* to treat his mother then that's just creepy; besides, what about the whole 'Tohru's mysterious hat boy first-love'? We all knew that was Yuki! Grr...
Vol. 6 was fun because I loved seeing crying, young!Kyo XD I also love Shishou and Kyo's father-son relationship, it's one of my favorites in the series. :)
I hope that store gets volumes 3 and others, I love Furuba and I love it even more when its 2 dollars a book! XD

Progress: Pretty much settled on the 'Anti-government House' idea through all the discussions (thanks guys!), now I just need to get notes together and extract and re-do some parts from an older work.
