I am a bad LJ updater and therefore a bad human being :(
Let's just skip over the part where I didn't write about my trip to Puerto Rico (though our friend Erin really did blog the whole thing) or Meagan's wedding. I'm pretty sure everyone who reads my LJ is also my friend on Facebook, so you have probably seen the photos there (or on Brady's page). Sorry. :( Suffice it to say that they were both great.
Truthfully, other than those events, I haven't done anything all summer that can't be summed up on Twitter in under 140 characters. Since my course ended, I have been in a bit of a rut where my days consist of doing the bare minimum amount of work to keep me from getting kick out of school and then going home where I then do the bare minimum to keep myself from starving and our house from being so dirty that it is condemned. And yet the days go by so fast! Wasn't it June just a minute ago?
I will spare you the rest of my mopey-ness, since this week I have decided to turn my life around. My goal has always been to get out of here (with PhD, preferably) by the end of next summer, and I've finally started pushing myself to actually get it done. I've got a lot of loose ends to tie up in all my projects, and I have finally started getting serious about writing my thesis! It's a brand new Megan who does not angst about her research!
So, what have you all been up to? I miss you guys!
