* There's been a lot of "I've been neglecting my LJ" posts lately on my flist (and I haven't been posting much myself either, but that's not entirely unusual now, is it? XP), but I'm glad for the occasional sign of life! ♥
* The semester ended a week ago and the grades were posted the other day. I did a whole lot better than I should have, considering I hardly put a real effort into it. I was expecting some Bs, but I won't complain over As.
I'm thankful for
isarae's help with my Business Communication Project! She gets an A, too! ;D
* Classes on how to draw manga/anime with the kids are going great so far! They're a very good group. I'll be teaching a special class on Wednesday to two of the summer camp groups which should be a bit more challenging as the older-aged group has not had previous art lessons (as opposed to my regular group) and the other group consists of 3-to-5-year-olds (I'm thinking cutesy animals using basic geometric shapes or something along the lines of that for this group).
* On the subject of cutesy animals, I finally got to watch Tiger & Bunny (or what's out, anyways).
If you know what this series (it's an anime series, not actual animals ;O) is about (on a surface level at least), you might think it's not what I'd usually go for, and you'd be right. Nevertheless, and even though I can't even explain it myself, I am undeniably hooked. It's like-- if it were 1999, this would be the show on Toonami I'd put on to kill time until DBZ was on, maybe do my homework and look up at the sound of something interesting. Except I watch it, with paying attention and knowing the character's names. (XD)
Anyway, the
TV tropes (bwahaha~!),
ANN,
MAL, and
wikipedia pages (pick your poison), as I would not (even want to) explain this objectively. ;)
lol All those pages should say about the same thing, but you can also just
watch it for yourself.
* In other anime, I'm still following Sekaiichi, and (occasionally catch up with) Beelzebub. Finished Junjuo last week. Will attempt to re-watch Pokemon (the first season, at least) with my brother in the near future.
* What else? Ah! The sewing machine is (apparently) broken again and the pants I was sewing have been put on hold. :(
