Okay, I tweeted like crazy while I was working on this. Now, those who didn't know what I was talking about can see what I made such a fuss about!
And those of you who didn't know anything about this chibi business can see what it's all about, too!
The chibis were painted on shirts to be worn at the Puerto Rico Comic Con.
On the first day, the shirts were sent to wash at my aunt's house and we worked on the chibis while we waited for them to be ready.
I took on Zack and my cousin went for Sephiroth. (Cookies if, for some reason, you expected as much. Void if you knew about it already! >:P)
Drawing the chibis was pretty much the first day, really. I don't have pics for this because, well, it's just normal drawing on plain paper. (The tweets were hilarious, though, ask
candy_marie_55!)
I finished this day inking the chibi on a clean legal sized paper using the lightbox.

On the second day, when my cousin brought the shirts over, I learned that one of the shirts had been stained with chocolate as my other cousin (her brother) had confused it with one of his own and worn it overnight.
I wasn't too worried seeing as I had a backup shirt that was clean and could work with that one.
Then we started cutting... Ahaha! Let's just say my cousin wound up using her backup shirt and I had to go with the one with the chocolate stains.
After the cutting fiasco, we traced the chibis onto the shirt using the light box and pens and markers. This was the reason for going with a white shirt-- it's easier to see the drawing underneath. I used Sakura micron pens on my shirt and my cousin used a fine Sharpie. (Different pens and markers were tested for water resistance before using them on the shirts-- those provided satisfactory results.)
This is my cousin! She's my partner in crime for all the crazy convention (and sometimes not conventions) stuff.
Pick out your brushes!
Check it out! Isn't that the cutest thing ever? (Yes, I am ridiculously in love with my chibi! *squees*)
Also, yes, the light was behind me. The DSi's shadow shows in all of my work's pics. *shrugs*
It's shadowy, but I think it can be seen better this way.
The second day's work concluded there. (O hai, DSi!)
That's where my cousin left off. That's about three hour's worth of painting right there, for both of us.

Third day! I woke up to look for ways to remove chocolate stains only to find that my mother had already taken care of it. (Yay, mommy!)
The third day consisted of more painting. What can I say about it? I'm not sure how many hours were spent painting that day. I guess it was somewhere around eight, but at least the fronts were finished.
(O hai sketch!) The sketch never left my side as it had all the details I didn't bother to trace onto the shirt, but would get to when painting.
Feathers added at the last minute! (wut!)
Yes! Finished colors!
"I will never become a memory!" would have been too long. "Mother!" made us laugh too much.
Trufax!
1. If I had gone for younger Zack the caption would have been "My date".
2. The exclamation point was added to create a balance with the glitter. It wasn't a part of the original caption.
3. I had to sneak the (obvious) glitter in there somehow! (Metallic paints are used in other parts to add sparkle~!)
Anyway, dimensional writers and glitter-- I love 'em! :)

Fourth and final day! Yeah, we needed to clear the table already! XD
That's the back of my shirt.
This is the back of my cousin's shirt.
That was it for the final day.

I don't have pics of the finished and worn shirts right now, but I guess I will eventually! XP
So, not shown in pics: On my cousin's the "Destroy the Planet" is outlined with silver dimensional writer and mine is tied with blue ribbons at the sleeves and the back.
The truth is it was really worth the time and trouble and we'll be working on more during the summer.
