BASICS
Name: Abelarda
Nickname: wietrzniak
Gender: Female
Age: 24
Birthdate: 11.12.1982
Zodiac Sign: Sagittarius with Moon in Scorpio
Location: Poland
Likes: Reliability and professionalism; stabilisation and peace; good manners; people who respect one's privacy; intellectual challenges.
Dislikes: Noise, crowds; changes; over-extraverted people, cry-babies; liars; cruelty and psychomanipulation.
Strong Points (as in characteristics): Determined, practical, loyal, caring, compassionate and responsible.
Weak Points: Stubborn, conservative, short-tempered, sometimes harsh, ambitious, a bit dominant and sarcastic.
Hobbies: Literature, linguistics, fanfiction, writing, computers, RPG, psychoastrology, logical games.
Talents (as in: "that's what I'm good at"): I'm a fast-learner. I have a logical mind. I can improvise when I have to.
FAVORITES
Color: Black and dark blue.
Food: I don't care about meals that much. I eat to satisfy my hunger, that's all - a meal's quality or the way it is served doesn't matter. If I really have to choose: a rare steak.
Drink: Coffee. Or cola. I'm addicted to caffeine.
Animal: A cat: intelligent, individualistic, clever and always manages to land on its feet.
Band(s): Pink Floyd and Van Der Graaf Generator. I love progressive rock; it's full of emotion and the lyrics are sad and beautiful.
Song(s): Too many to decide.
Movie(s): "The Legend of 1900" by Giuseppe Tornatore, because it's very nostalgic.
Book(s): Probably "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead" by Tom Stoppard; I really like all those intertextual games.
Quote: I have plenty of them. Here's my favourite from Monty Python. Ironic and, I'd say, strangely motivating... "I built this kingdom up from nothing. When I started here, all there was was swamp. Other kings said I was daft to build a castle on a swamp, but I built it all the same, just to show 'em. It sank into the swamp. So, I built a second one. That sank into the swamp. So I built a third one. That burned down, fell over, then sank into the swamp. But the fourth one... stayed up! And that's what you're gonna get, lad: the strongest castle in these islands."
Series/Games:
* Fav. Manga(s): Count Cain (especially Kafka), Yami no Matsuei, Stigma.
* Fav. Anime(s): Yami no Matsuei, Wolf's Rain.
* Fav. Game(s): I don't play Japanese games. My favourite American game is Planescape: Torment.
* Fav. Manga/Anime Character(s): Tatsumi and Oriya from Yami no Matsuei, Aya from Weiss Kreuz, Nagahide from Mirage of Blaze, Ritsu from Loveless, Isaac from Meine Liebe. In general, I have a soft spot for complicated and introverted characters.
* Fav. Game Character(s): I don't know any characters from Japanese games, but I love Dak'kon from Planescape: Torment. He's silent and full of sadness.
RANDOM
Yaoi/Yuri/Het/Don't Care: It doesn't matter, as long as it's well written.
What do you look for in a friend: Probably the same qualities that I admire: I need my friends to be loyal and reliable, because I do not trust easily. If I have a real friend (I use the word "friend" very rarely), I have to respect him. And as for the other qualities... I know that ideal friendship doesn't exist and because of that I can forgive many things. I just don't like the feeling of being abused.
What's important to you in a relationship (romantic one): In fact, I don't believe in love in a romantic, idealistic sense. No, I'm afraid I'm way too sceptical for that. Love is not a romantic talk or a candle-lit dinner; love is full of responsibilities, it's hard, painful and sometimes leaves you very bitter. But I do believe in partnership, in love based on friendship and trust: doing something with someone, making plans, creating something together. And yes, this definition really works for me.
Do you have a role-model, if so who is it?: Usually I admire people that somehow gained my respect - by intelligence, creativity, mental strength or by any other way, but I don't have an exact and only one role-model. I prefer to have my own moral compass, based on my observations of people, and I'm trying to stick to it.
What's your biggest dream: "To live happily and not to hurt anyone". Because I think it's the most important thing in life.
