We ran some Indie game demos at Arcanacon over the last few days, and the response has been great.
I've run Best Friends (which is a great way to open a series of demos), Agon (which is a lovely contrast to Best Friends, and shows some fine indie crunch) and The Shab-al-Hiri Roach (gamers intuitively grasp academic bitchiness).
Scott was running Cat, 1001 Nights, Shooting the Moon, Dread and My Life with Master.
I would have liked to run some Cold City, Burning Empires or any of Emily's games, but there wasn't really time to do everything. I'm kicking myself for not taking in Dictionary of Mu just to show off its beautiful art and layout, but people did enthuse over the production quality of Burning Empires and Mortal Coil.
I had a little trouble driving substantial conflicts in Best Friends as a demoer/GM - I found it was much easier to play myself, and just have my character dive straight into conflict. Other than that, the demoing was very smooth.
