Things to do in Denver when you're Ed.

Aug 11, 2006 10:01

Hello ladies and gentlemen. We are returned! We got up at 5am flew to Denver and from about 11am their time till uhh 8:30ish pm we waited for our flight...We thought we'd be stuck in Denver overnight, so anything was a bonus! Jessie, I was going to call you and say we were in Denver airport...how far is that from you? We figured it could be miles/hours away and we held out for one of the last flights, but we did think about harrassing you, and that is really the key issue here. It is the thought that counts. Hope people have been well since we've been away? I haven't really "read" posts too much as we've had a dial up connection at my aunt's house which pains me to sit in front of...I'm not known for my patience! Still, every so often I went to the library but that was usually to apply for jobs/email people about jobs, so if I posted on here or commented at all, you're privileged!

Dude there was a guy in Denver airport who seemed to be always sitting behind me and he had these crude shades on and he even sat behind me on the flight home from Wichita and no shit he looked like Jean Reno from Leon, exactly like him in that film...I wonder if he is a hitman? Anyways...

So we're back in KS, not that Cali wasn't fruitful, my aunt says we can stay there till we find our feet out there, which is awesome...However we've decided to take a step back to take a further leap forward. So its back to the grindstone with looking for jobs here! Woot. On the upside I have a game plan now. I need to learn AVID xpress like the back of my hand and once I have that down and have some money behind me I'll be ready for Burbank and will begin climbing the rungs of power, from working in a vault, picking up film for people to getting promoted to doing short editing proceedures etc- to TV and one day Feature film in a poolhouse editing studio of my own! Mwhahahaaaa...So I have my work cut out for me. First I have to save up/ find a copy of AVID xpress pro for my laptop. Thankfully it runs on pc and mac...I turned down a mac when I bought this...if it'd only worked on a Mac, I'd have cried.

Well...Finally got paid for my writing whilst we were there! Met up with the film writer I was working with...I didn't get to talk to him much, he's very busy, but he liked my stuff so its ok!

I have also decided to boost my uhh repertoire/portfolio my writing/filming/editing shorts of my own and possibly (if I can get it written) a pilot for a sitcom I'm trying to write. So beware in the future I may be looking for actors and people who have experience in directing and sound *cough* Dave *cough*.

Peace, Love, instant pleasure.

You scored as Male. Being mostly male, within your structures of thinking simply means that your reasoning powers are (the way they are perceived in Western Culture`) higher than the one of the opposite sex. Psychoanalsis claims this to come at the price of creative expression - a rational thinker can not think out of the box, it is claimed. Yet this 'discovery' contradicts the fact that many great minds that created something out of the ordinary were men.
