Dear Festividder,
First off hi! I'm super excited for festivids this year and I hope you are too. Secondly, thanks so much for volunteering to make a vid for one of my requests. If you already have an idea please feel free to stop here and read no further, if you're looking for a little inspiration or guidance then hopefully this letter will help a little.
I think I've said this every year but it's worth saying every year - I want to see the vid you want to make so if you want to make a deep character vid about Syndrome and his descent from wannabe side kick to super villian or if you want to make the ultimate Buddy Garrity vid and are worried that I won't like it because I don't mention those characters here, please don't be (actually those both sound kind of cool). I honestly would just love a vid for any of these fandoms.
As for music, again I say this every year but I like all kinds of music everything from country to 80s power ballads to rap and everything in between. I know that probably isn't very helpful to you if you're looking for help picking a song but chances are pretty high I'll like whatever you pick.
So on to the requests:
Almost Famous (2000) [Movie]
One day you'll be cool. Look under your bed, it'll set you free.
I love this movie. I think it's a both a love letter to an era and also to being a fan. And I'd love a vid that captured either of those things.
I also love the relationship between the Millers so a vid about the three of them would be great or a vid about Stillwater.
Bend it Like Beckham [Movie]
I love sports and I love sports movies, I particularly love girl's sports movies so this is like perfection to me.
I love Jess so a character vid for her would be nice or maybe a vid about both girls and their relationships with their parents.
Friday Night Lights [TV]
I love everyone in this bar. I love Tami and all the Dillion ladies or a vid concentrating on one of the minor characters like Buddy, Billy or Mindy that would be cool or an ensemble vid about Dillion, the town and its teams, how football brings the town together and occasionally breaks it apart.
Gremlins 1 & 2 [Movie]
I would absolutely love a Gizmo action vid to an 80s song like Dangerzone or something like that.
The Incredibles [Movie]
I would love anything for this movie, fun ensemble vid, a Jack Jack vid, Edna Mode and the perils of wearing capes, just anything.
Mighty Ducks series (live action) [Movie]
Another sports movie, again a fun ensemble vid would be great.
The Sapphires (2012)
I love, love, love this movie. I'd just love a vid about the four girls and the relationship between them.
I also really love Deborah Mailman so if you want to concentrate on one character then a Gail vid would be great but Kay's story is really interesting too.
Wreck-It Ralph (2012) [Movie]
What an awesome, cute, fun movie. I'm sure there's an awesome cute fun vid to be had maybe a Vanellope vid or a Ralph and Vanellope friendship vid.
