"it seems we are empowered by very fake things... ideas and conceptions... if i know them to be fake, then why use the word 'seems' instead of something more definite? it's because, sadly, i do hope that some part of what i believe in- and what drives me... is true."
I have hope in things I scarcely believe in, only until I realize that I have no other explanation for it. Does that make it right, or wrong? Is the truth and my beliefs defined by what is discerned to be 'credible' by the opinion of others? Is my belief based on someone elses' from the beginning? Does an idea lose its value if someone else does not share it, hear it, know it... believe in it? So, I have a question to add to the many I will always have.
What... is faith?
What is power, but numbers, scare tactics... fear limited to knowledge that is fabricated for you from the very beginning? If this is true, and all of this I 'know' instead of just 'thinking' that I do... then I have a bigger question than what faith is. What are we 'really' afraid of? All those great people, great leaders... past and gone- seem to know. I want to know.
What am I really afraid of?
