Mercedes starts freaking out about Quinn moving in with her approximately five seconds after she extends the offer.
Kurt helps her come up with a list of things they can do together, all the while reassuring her that everything will be fine, but she doesn't start believing it until Quinn's been living at her house for a full week.
Because as cliché as it may sound, the moment she opens her brother's bedroom door and finds Quinn twirling around, some cheesy Spice Girls song blaring out of her laptop speakers, is when she finally realizes that Quinn isn't some untouchable ice queen. She's just a girl.
Quinn spots her gaping from the doorway, but instead of stopping, she smiles and extends an arm in invitation.
"Isn't that bad for the baby?"
"No, look," Quinn says, taking Mercedes' hand and resting it lightly on her stomach. "She likes it, see?"
Mercedes isn't sure what it means that she suddenly finds Quinn's eyes really pretty from up close. But as the next song starts and both of them launch into an impromptu dance battle, she decides that there'll be plenty of time to think about that.
