when the historic moment came..
.. i was at the phoenix black chamber of commerce event. let me just tell you that there could have been no better atmosphere. we were supposed to go to the az democratic party event but it was madness, so we went to the bar with the most obama signs.
when he won i started crying uncontrollably. it was the reality of what i feel i've worked so hard in my life to push, to support, to try and move forward. this isn't everything, we still have a long way to go, but this is a damn good start.
i have to say, i think michelle obama is going to be the real star of this. people are going to be pissed at barack at some point, but the first lady has a lot more room. she's going to kick ass.
i can't wait to find out who will be in the administration. i'm really happy with biden, he's awesome. i'm worried about iraq, but confident. the dems also gained seats, since most of the new dem candidates running were progressives (modern dems) that's really good news. obama will have a better change of getting his policies through now.
