Block Help!

I made on of my own blocks. And I have had people asking how to do it. So I am posting pics of what the block should look like. I want it to be scrappy looking. If you have any questions please let me know.

Just curious, which book is your pattern from? It seems familiar, but I didn't see it any of my books.

It is from paper-pieced bed quilts by jodie davis. Does that sound like a book you have?

Nope, but one of my bee friends might have it. We always bring new books to our get-togethers for each other to browse through, so I may have seen it there. :)

I got this book many years ago when I first started paper piecing. So it is little old!

i've started on half of the first one for you. I'll post pics when it's done. i was a bit worried i might have the wrong shades of purple but looking at yours i think i'll be alright.

Yes I want the quilt to be a real scrappy looking so any shade of purple is good for me!

i might mix them up a bit then. the engineer in me will try and make them symmetrical otherwise

Yes I am having the same problem. I love things super symmetrical! I go crazy if somethings aren't. I have a friend who bought a house where the tile in the bathroom is messed up and I try not to look or I will get a hammer...lol
