& a reminder to check out Almost Human

...you haven't watched Almost Human? It was so, so good. Sigh.

For one thing, it took way longer than it should have for me to realize it was not the same thing as "Being Human"... oops.

I still get those two titles/shows mixed up if they come up randomely in conversation. ;)

Ha - yes, I've perked up with interest occasionally upon glimpsing something about "Being Human" only to realise it wasn't The Right show *g*

I had never heard of it, but it does sound like it *was* good. Sigh, sounds like another show too intelligent (excuse me, "information-heavy") for the masses.

I hadn't realized it had been canceled, either. Sigh.

See, I don't even think it was even a particularly "intellectual" or demanding show - its charm was mainly in its characters/setting/dialogue rather than being some big complicated thing, although they did start dropping tantalising hints about "The Wall" and other backstory which was so promising. But yeah, I get the impression that very few people actually watched it, I suppose science fiction is generally a harder "sell" to the general public than, say, crime.

ETA: Since you haven't actually seen the show I have to add that Michael Ealy is gorgeous, "Gareth" from the UK The Office is both hilarious and surprisingly charming, and the show is slashy as hell, with lines like "Don't scan my testicles... ever again." Okay, that''s probably the crudest example, but it is quite lovely in that respect *g*
