Fic!
My entry for the
House Het Ficathon: Wilson/Julie, Julie/OMC (Oh God, who'd've thought?), and House/Wilson if you want it to be there. PG-13, 3,700 words.
Comments of all sorts welcome, including criticism.
(
In her head she has already begun numbering herself among his ex-wives. )
I agree completely about the immense influence House has on Wilson and the amount of effort Wilson puts into their relationship only to be treated like crap much of the time. But we all know House clearly cares for Wilson and he does offer his share of friendly advice (for the most part), even if that advice is couched in teasing or unvarnished criticism. That snarky reminder in "Fidelity," for instance, since I just saw the quote somewhere, that married men wouldn't usually say they dated *anyone* (off Wilson's remark that he wouldn't date a patient's daughter), is not just funny, it's also a subtle warning that if Wilson wants to save his marriage he should watch his womanizing; and again in "Sex Kills," he keeps implying that if Wilson *has* cheated he'd be better off keeping mum, basically tells him that chocolates are a stupid way to try to patch things up, and keeps pushing him to go home since being away is what's causing his problems to begin with.
Er. All by way of saying "Yes, but it's not always bad."
