Are these too sneaker-like for walking?

Ariat Terrain boots

I have a pair, and they are incredibly sturdy and comfortable. They're $90 at Shoebuy, but for some reason I couldn't get an image of the shoes to come up. If they're not what you're looking for, you might check out other Ariat shoes -- they have a pretty good rep. :D

They do look nice and sturdy. I'm looking for something more suitable to wear during the week to work, though (office job, business casual).

My regular wardrobe happens to include a lot of 60s looking clothes so I usually combine certain items that I normally would only wear separately and together they make a pretty striking hippie chick costume.
Deviled eggs, nom.
I saw Caligari and I think every serious film geek should see it.

Do the extra zippers give you extra powers? Nice hat! I love flat-heeled boots for walking around in. If you've come into a paycheck, I bought mine from Thom Brown on Newbury Street: http://www.thombrown.com/women/Women-Boots-Flats/TMB02985-Troopa-Brown#.UnJ4BWlD5w8 (A different color, though.) They're not sneakers, but they're pretty comfortable, especially with thick winter socks. (A while back I started paying attention to the footwear on the T, and it's surprising how few high heels you see compared to how ubiquitous they are on women in TV and in movies. My theory is that the higher number of women you see wearing high heels outside the T are mostly folks who drive or folks who, like my coworker, only changed into heels once they got to work ( ... )

I'm trying to find a string of LED lights to give myself a halo, but otherwise I'm focused on helping my small roommates. :)
