Title (sort of): Thoughts on the use of hands and bodies instead of restraints to hold victims down in my Mary Sue noncon fics
Word Count: 850
Warnings: Discussion of erotic nonconsensual fiction & enjoyment of same.
(
It's an invasion of personal space and a preview of the more intimate unwanted touching that follows. It's a way to establish or reinforce the physical superiority of the villain... )

This is a gorgeous delineation of a kink that I also delight in. Much of the time when I write actual restraints into a noncon or dubcon story they are supplementary to holding the character down (such as in "Just Business" where the mercenaries cuffed Esther's hands just to make her a little easier to manage but still held her down with their hands as well).
(Oh, Karin in her glorious capacity for suffering. *hugs her gently* *continues to delight in seeing her squished*)

As usual, I take the occasion to ask a question: is it necessary to cite many works of fanfic in an essay, and if so, do they have to be by many different authors? There's something I would like to address that came out of reading just one particular fic, although it is based on a long and extended AU by two(!) authors working independently of each other. Would this be acceptable, so long as the length of the essay is right?

You can confirm with the mods, but I believe that if you want to write an essay/meta, you can cite as few (read: none) or as many sources as you like. If you want to do a close read of one particular fic, you could even call it a DVD commentary.
Glad you enjoyed reading this!
