Cyborgs and guts and making out, oh my
So, a former classmate and I watched a movie called Repo Men last night, wherein Jude Law, Forest Whitaker and Alice Braga plod their way through a dystopian wannabe-Blade Runner cyberpunk future in which Evol Corporations sell mechanical organs for exorbitant prices and then come to collect on debtors by ripping them out. See also: Repo! the Genetic Opera, but with fewer singers who look like Antonio Banderas in Interview with the Vampire.
However, THE POINT IS -- attention

kink_wiki fans especially -- this unfortunate, poorly written, poorly characterized, ultimately predictable two-hour waste of potential featured one of the kinkiest sex-ish scenes I've seen in a mainstream movie. Maybe I haven't been watching enough horror movies, but I was impressed when Jude Law's and Alice Braga's characters cut into each other to shove in a scanner to de-register their organs, bled all over the floor and gasped in what looked like agony but sounded like pleasure, undressing and caressing each other amidst all the rooting around, and made out the whole time. I mean, never mind that they should have been a lot bloodier and probably dead afterwards, or at least dead later from massive infection. Reminiscent of the molting-flaying in Drawing Restraint 9, but less fetishistic and more sensual. This was a Kink Bingo line in itself: cyborgs, body modification, mechanical/technological, blood play, pain play, knife play, drugs, maybe a little medical fetish...
I have no recording device hooked up to my TV, but I snagged low-res video of the two halves of the scene with my camera for posterity, because this needs to be seen.
