Amnesty: 4 stories (BtVS/Angel, Harry Potter, House, SGA)

It's the time of year when a young hippo's thoughts turn to love spring cleaning time at wip_amnesty. In the hope that posting some works-no-longer-in-progress will help clear my head for newer stuff, here are some stories I never finished from 2006-7 -- and have finally come to accept that I will never finish. I really like what's down on the page, and want ( Read more... )

It's a great excuse to let things go.

The problem is actually letting go. :)

There are a good dozen more I should do this with, only I can't believe there's not a chance I'll finish them.

*g*

There's always that lingering hope, and sometimes it actually does pan out (like the fragment that became Take the Long Way Home for me). But I think most many of the fragments I have in the WIP file will remain just that -- fragments. There's some decent writing though, so I should put them out there.

Yes, you totally should!

Also, I should, too. I am wondering if I put 'Leave Your Woes Behind' out there I could just sort of let it go, or if the chocolatier!John will ever get written. Singing!Ronon, although I'm not sure I'm willing to part with that one yet. Or Atlantis Rising. But, the rules do say that posting them doesn't PREVENT you from finishing, yeah?

Just finished reading the "Progeny" tag. I loved it, of course (it hits all my kinks), and was glad to read what there was of it.

I'm curious, which story of friendshipper's were you referring to in your notes regarding this story? I thought I had read all her stuff, but I can't seem to recall a "Progeny" story.

I went back to track it and realized it was in a comment to a story rather than a whole story - and also a bit more specific than I'd remembered - but it's here: http://friendshipper.livejournal.com/78957.html?thread=1401965#t1401965
