It's not often you'll find me reading porn (I read for plot, not sex), but I actually rather liked this.

It managed to combine 3 out of 4 of my favourite SGA characters (and there aren't nearly enough fics out there with Elizabeth and Lorne) without hitting any of my squicks, which "aliens made them do it" fics often do (in particular, there was no falling in love at the end, which squicks me like mad in what's essentially a rape fic). I loved the switch back to normality at the end, with Lorne just saying "Sir".

Thanks for writing.

Thanks for taking a chance on this. I'm glad it didn't turn you off, too -- I'd never written an AMTDI before, and it was tough to balance what (for me) was meant to be a hot sex scene with the consent issues and magical happy loving all-is-fixed ending.

By the way, who's your fourth favorite character?

I had a suspicion, for some reason. :)

(I really need a Ronon icon.)

Playing on the word "release" is interesting. I was also intrigued by the people being named the Epiphesians, which brought to mind the Ephesians book of the New Testament, which exhorts people to submit to one another.

All that and angstily sexy, too. Impressive.

Thank you! I'm not familiar with Ephesians, but I like the resonance you describe.

Guh.

BRB brain meltered.

Also, because I've been in the bioarch lab all night, I can't decide if the aliens' name comes from Ephesians, epiphany, or epiphysis, but I really dig it.

Hooray, Sabine and bug!Sheppard approved. Would it lessen your respect for the choice of name if I told you I just liked the sound of it and have been listening to Greek music a lot lately? I like the connotations all of those words and roots carry, though. :)

As you well know, it is very hard to get bug!Sheppard's approval. He's much too busy making out with unsuspecting people.

And accidentally awesome is still awesome.

\o/ I am glad you found it so! It was one of the rare stories where I thought it was hot as I was writing it, so I am glad it translated. And that you came by even though it is not your favorite combo and you are not feeling well besides.
