too much tequila last night
birls! Long time no update. I visit periodically and have been posting once in a blue moon for several years now, I figure its as good a time as any to re-introduce myself. I'm Ashley, 21, genderqueer, and currently in my first healthy, serious, heterosexual relationship. I've recently been experiencing a lot of conflicts with my (atypical) gender representation vs the identifying gender of my partner. I find that I dress more like a 'birl' when I'm involved with women, and now that I am exploring other facets of my sexuality I'm dressing more like a 1950's housewife... well a 1950's housewife with a lot of tattoos and the mouth of a sailor.
I find the wishy-washyness of my appearance to be more than a little upsetting and frustrating, it seems like I am never comfortable in my own skin anymore. Luckily, Jon, my partner, has been very understanding and supportive and I am blessed to have him through the headaches and moodswings and 23 outfit changes a day. Aside from that some of my personal interests include: photography, bartending, sideshow performance, tattoos and piercings, alt-country music, comic books and underground hip-hop. Lately I am rarely seen without a pair of stilettos, a bottle of bourbon and my Nikon D60 DSLR.
