( viktoriya is in the parlor, seemingly focused on her thoughts and the cup of tea in her hands. she's pacing the length of the room from one end to the other, thoughts mixing and churning and simply not making any sort of sense. what's worse is the yelled whispers making their ways through the halls, harsh things that try and bite at her brother's ( Read more... )

[Not like he was really helping the problem with her brother (as he and his own sister have been doing their fair share of gossiping) but not like Viktoriya has to know immediately. Besides, he's trying to solve the murders as logically as he can.]

Something wrong, Viktoriya? You look more stressed now than earlier.

( the voice gets her to glance up, face not betraying her normal self and normal emotions. that is, not letting any show whatsoever. )

More tired than stressed to be honest with you, I think I've been putting to much into trying figure out these murders.

[Mad skills, and certainly better than grinning all the time, as he continues to do. He puts one hand on his hip and tilts his head, making himself look both curious and amused.]

Have you come up with any ideas so far? I mean, I don't want you wearing yourself out and all by over-thinking or anything like that.

Nothing more than whimsical ideas that have nothing to stand on, and there's no concern in that sort of thing happening.

I'm curious about this, but not to the point I'll sacrifice my well-being to such an extent. ( rather, how she handles everything. ) Though admittedly my interest is turning on these Americans, the ones that have decided to think with their emotions over their logic. I'm almost curious to how they are going to move...

( the statement gives a sigh, one that almost sounds like she was expecting more. )

I've been thinking the same, honestly. There was plenty of threatening whoever did such a thing last night as it was, mostly from the Americans.

[His grin widens at the thought, and he taps his foot to some unheard beat in his head.]

Ah, and I didn't fail to notice that some were making Dimitri out to be quite the scapegoat. It was all painfully typical.

( there's a thoughtful sound that leaves her as she moves to place the teacup on a nearby side table, musing slowly. )

Well, my dear brother does make stepping on people's toes and getting a raise out of them almost an art in itself. ( a pause. ) It's pathetic they think someone so lazy would go as far as to actually pull off something like this.

As I've noticed. [And talked about, and hoped that it would get Dimitri in trouble someday.] Though, he certainly has been making it seem like he was involved, and making no claims to dispel the ideas people have of him.

Do you really expect anything less of him? He's is the type who believes they don't to prove themselves to no one, and surely not to some of the people around here.

No, I don't expect any less of him. Though, I always thought his pride would kick in eventually. [He sighs, almost wistfully, running a hand through his hair.] He certainly had me going for awhile.

It's quite the conflict of interest, but this whole thing will turn into a conflict. ( she flicks her teacup, causing a small ring in the room. ) But I wonder if that was the point all along.
