I like the idea of you changing your header regularly, one of these days I will try to get one. I change my default icon every Monday.

Oh, it was really easy! My next step? back-up all those comms I'm into =D Well, maybe THAT will take me some time *laughs*
The good thing about this tool is that migrate everything: pics, icons, comments. I love it :)
An the headers thing? I wanted to do this for some time, but there are a lot of my fandoms with little or none graphic representation. So, I take the bull by its horns and decided to do it myself.
They are not gonna be fancy, but hey! I'll get all my loved ones in here :)

It probably will. I've archived all my comms, but I can't do any that I don't own/am Mod on - at least not that I've found.

But there is Alexf LJ, which allows you to backup any community you had posting access. And with comments!!!!
That is great for ficfinders comms, which I use to find fics to read. As if I hadn't had enough! *laughs*
It requires that you have Internet Explorer and you may need to be logged into your LJ account via Internet Explorer, which is not something I like, but, hey! community back-up with comments!
sageness has a post here about what you should do if you moderate ANY community to allow people back-up it.
Again, I don't believe LJ is gonna be gone today, but... better safer than sorry :)

I don't use IE, but . . . For this, tis worth it. Okay so I save all LJ comments (don't laugh) and I do have all my stories backed up in ::coughs:: maybe six places, but even so . . .

Having read their latest news post and learnt that it's the norm for anyone in a tech job like that to go literally with no notice and also that it's the norm in the US that folk don't get severance pay, I'm happier that it's not going to vanish. But even so . . .
