Two Shows, Two Days

Oct 30, 2005 01:36

Last night, I went with my band, The Quartering (Rick, Ian, Brady, and Pat) to Jackson, MS. We went to see Norma Jean, Haste the Day, and Still Remains. It was really fun. I hung out with people from Baton Rouge pretty much all night. The Louisiana kids fucking owned the pit. Those Jackson kids didn't really know how to dance. haha. Still Remains was amazing. So was Still Remains and Norma Jean. However, I can't see Norma Jean like they used to be with Josh. Anyway, I lost my keys dancing and I FLIPPED OUT. I looked around for like the whole last song that Norma Jean played. After the show was over, I found them. They were under this carpet in the front near the stage. Must have gotten kicked under it or whatever. It was definitely worth the drive and I can not wait to go on tour with MY band!

Tonight we played with like 7 other bands. So here we go, I'm gonna name all of them in the order we played: First it was us, The Quartering. Followed by The Vincent and The Blindfolded War Routine. After that was the two touring bands, Winter Solstice then Bloodlined Calligraphy. I had to leave to bring Lindsey, Jennuh, and Stephen home, so I missed the next two bands, but they were The Fight Between Frames and This Night Will Burn. Finally, it was Last Night I Died in Rome. There were sooo many people there. I hope a lot of our upcoming shows are like that. I think we are starting to get a following. Rightfully so...we don't necessarily suck too bad anymore!

A few shows that are upcoming.
November 11th @ Cypress Hall w/ Clawing to China
November 19th @ The Darkroom w/ Calico System
November 25th @ The Darkroom w/ like every local band (except Bite the Curb)
December 3rd @ The Darkroom w/ Reflux, Ed Gein, August Burns Red
