I just made it back to Kearney from the Vanderslice show in Omaha. Since my van needs at least twelve new tires, power steering fluid, brake work, new oil, etc, we risked it in Dan's almost-equally deplorable vehicle. We made it to Lincoln, hitched a ride the rest of the way with Kind Broc and Egregious Eric, and sat down for a lovely night of many beers and good music. It is exactly what I needed to stay sane this month. Now I'll be spending the next three weeks at work when I'm not at school. We're setting up for Christmas, now. I fucking loathe retail. But after that, it's the Mountain Goats and Do Make Say Think in successive weekends. And after that, a small break for the best of holidays: Thxgiving!
As for now, it's short naptime, and then off to school to get learned.
