Ok so this is long overdue, and rather off topic but i totally spaced last week...my halloween:

OK so the two Nest Material shows this weekend went incredible. The Narthex show friday night was rather well attended and a completely good time. I missed the Edmunds Middle School presentation of Frankenstein to help Todd setup, but it looked good in there when he was done and it felt SOOOO good to get it all setup early and then wander round town by myself for awhile beforehand and unwind at Michael T's art opening. Todd is incredible and should do interior decoration. Joey and Heather showed up, proceeded by their 5 dogs which immidiatley began trying to pee on the walls and run all over. Greg was shocked cause one of them almost went right over the Harmonium to see what he was doing on the floor. it was awesome to see the dogs wreck havoc. the opening bands on the bill that I had no clue what to expect of, ended up being rather astonishing. Greg on crunched up leaves joined Rob and Johnny for some terrific destruction blasts from effected guitar and bass. Joe Adler acoustic duo was kinda Little Eartquakesy at first but then turned into a dirge of cacophnic proportions backed by some pretty heavy drumming and rocking. Holding the mic level at just about feeding back so everyone could hear Jonnie's saw over the PA was one of the most exciting moments night. Mike showed up just in time to watch Greg preform, who should charge me to play with him since it is such a peaceful clearing life fulfilling electrifying time. here is some video (courtesy michelle-THANKS) and those are live sounds not laptop:
greg davis live at narthex after playing with greg I missed IOU to walk around the block with MIKE. i shared with him the dance song, which was promply killed by us live on stage in some moments. Man that was an awful opening number, ruined by lack of communication and a proper sound check, saved by todd's loin-cloth. We took a LONG time to find ourselves but augmented by ben greg johnny and aeron, managed to finally get some interplanetary communication going on and we ended on a few hundred good notes sometime around 2:30am. i hear Mt dew energy kept the crystal ball rolling dancestyle til 5am.
which was not too long before i got up for work. after which, exhasted i headed home to pack up for the radio bean. words can not express the THANKS TO EVERYONE ELSE IN THE BAND for getting up saturday morning and packing up the Narthex and moving it back to the studio.
THE radio bean birthday preformance, even as joined by 4-7 extra people, was as natural as could be. for their b-day the radiobean invites 40ish bands to play all day, for half hour each. i was nervous about the quick setup time but we brought a surprisingly little amount of stuff to make a huge mess of noise. everything was great as soon as greg and i started harmonizing outside on the casios, before the band before us was done. also it was the first show with COMPLETE membership present since summer- sarah-paul is a blessing. everything sounded so pleasant, and seemingly made everyone in attendance wicked happy. including ourselves. partied like rockstars til now. LIFE. TRAIN. LOVE. PEACE. its too bad that this video stops cause it's only a tease:
a hint at what Nest Material got into thanks to angela and michelle and joey j. for providing pictures.
