He didn't make it. Easier now that it was expected but they couldn't manage his renal failure. Managing any further care would have been next to impossible. His heart was failing and his kidneys were going and both needed different, nearly opposite treatments and balancing the two (his heart wantedl less fluid and his kidneys needed more and he was suffering build up in his lungs still) so the decision was made to put him down.
